PolliNation Hotels 1.0

This application serves as a comprehensive tool designed to facilitate the documentation and monitoring of insect hotels installed in southeast Michigan, specifically targeting users who have received such hotels through the EIC program. Its primary objective is to enable users to upload data regarding the pollinator species that visit these hotels, thereby contributing valuable information to local biodiversity efforts.

The platform features an interactive GIS interface that displays the locations of all registered insect hotels as clickable map points. When a point is selected, detailed information about the habitat, visitor insect species, and other relevant data is presented. This setup allows for easy visualization and analysis of pollinator activity across different sites.

Registered users who own insect hotels can create accounts and input specific details via structured forms. Required fields include the unique hotel identifier, observed visiting pollinators, habitat type, and additional contextual information. Users without hotels have read-only access, enabling them to view the map and associated data without modification privileges.

Furthermore, hotel owners can manage their entries with appropriate privacy settings, while administrators maintain oversight over all submitted information, ensuring data integrity and comprehensive monitoring capabilities.
